About the Event
“Music comes closest to meditation. Music is a way towards meditation and the most beautiful way. Meditation is the art of hearing the soundless sound, the art of hearing the music of silence – what Zen people call the sound of one hand clapping. And silence has a music of its own, it is not dead, it is very much alive, it is tremendously alive. In fact, nothing is more alive than silence.”
In this hour and half together, Cooper Ladnier (Kripeswhar Gaura Das) will take us into silence through his music. Osho's short discourses in between will help deepen the Silence!
About Cooper Ladnier:
Cooper started his devotional path several years ago in New York City, leading Kirtan at various yoga studios and temples in and around Manhattan. He moved to California in 2007, and has since established himself as a solo artist and a collaborator with many of the Kirtan artists who live in and visit Los Angeles.
Committed to the practice of Bhakti Yoga, Cooper has traveled throughout India over 12 trips studying and chanting. In his words, “I love that silence at the end of a chant. It’s as if you work the whole song to get to that point of silence. Then it’s just you and the Divine for a moment.” Cooper is currently wrapping up the debut record “The Eyes of Love” with his band, Gandharvas Kirtan. He also teaches Harmonium and Vocal lessons and sings regularly at the Krishna temple in Los Angeles.
This event is offered at no cost but if you wish to contribute to the Artist you can do so at; http://PayPal.Me/oshoniranjana
